Measurement and transformation of continuously modulated fields using a short-time measurement approach

Abstract. Near-field measurements, which are performed in-situ, may suffer from the fact that antenna under test (AUT) cannot be accessed to transmit or receive a specifically tailored signal. In some scenarios, it might also desired AUT during its real operation state, especially when comes verification of systems. Therefore, need handle time- and space-modulated fields in combination with time-harmonic near-field far-field transformation (NFFFT) arises. For case where unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) carry field probe in-situ measurement long observation times, required for resolution frequency spectra modulated fields, detrimental due UAV movement resulting blurred positions. The short-time (STM) approach, presented this article, offers way transform measured data using NFFFT short times collection individual samples. Measurements shown demonstrate applicability STM approach continuously time-modulated different scenarios.
